So, this book seems half-a**ed by someone who can't even speak Icelandic. Print is huge, so at sub-70 pages after table of contents, that's not much content. This is not a professional book by any means as there is no publishing information, no author information, nothing. The page heading on left-side pages is not parallel with the top edge of the pages. Minor, but noticeable. The pronunciation hints beside words are hideous or misleading. For example:gray = grár (graw-r)should actually be something like:gray = grár (grow-r) *think 'ow' as in brownwhen I see 'aw' I can't help but say it like in 'law' or 'saw'.Now, there is some decent information on vocabulary and common phrases as long as you trust that it's correct. The pronunciation guide at the front seems to be correct and understandable so if you use this book, make sure you study that and don't pay attention to the individual hints by words. For me, this book is going in the trash. Money wasted.
The pronunciation guides were minimal at best and about halfway through were completely omitted through the end of the book. Page breaks were placed in the middle of content making it difficult to read page to page. Generally the book felt like a copy and paste job of online resources you can find for free. Would not recommend.
This book has been recommended by my friend and she told me that this will help me learn how to speak Icelandic. To my surprise, I found this book on promo so I immediately purchase it. The first part of the book will teach you how to pronounce like an Icelandic which is very helpful. It also listed some of the popular Phrases and Vocabulary words that you can use if you visit Iceland.

Honestly, I wish I could return this and get more than half my money back. I was excited to find an Icelandic resource because they are so hard to find, let alone for only $10! Well, shame on my for not reading the details. It's only 72 pages long--including the table of contents and such--and not even half the pages are full. The font size has got to be 13 if not 14, so it's honestly not a lot of information. I knew that it was paperback and not a textbook, but I was expecting more information. I get that this is a starting off point or whatever you want to call it, but I found all this information online, for free. Pretty disappointed and even more upset that I can't get a full refund.
This is a good book to learn icelandic language we dont normally studying other language aside from english but this is a good start to learn other language like country in icelandic because we never can tell where our destiny going but i always wanted to travel in europe and this book is a good reference for me to learn those language and this book taught me a lot of words and phrases and this book is easy to learn and to understand so it will guide u perfectly to learn the language so thumbs up for this book!
This book has used basic approach the really suited for beginners. You will be learning this language step-by-step, from vowels and consonants to simple phrases and short sentences. It is so easy to follow and understand. You will surely enjoy learning to speak this interesting language. Great guide.
